Dee Henderson used to be my hands down, all star, favorite author.
I was a part of her fan club. I gave her books to friends and family.
Then, she just stopped writing for a while. I'm not sure what happened, but I was SO excited when she resurfaced.
Unfortunately, it seems something happened while she was away from the writing scene. Her books ever since her comeback and just not the same.
Dee Henderson's O'Malley series is amazing. It is well writing, suspenseful and gets you thinking.
For me, this novella didn't meet up.
I feel like this book was thrown together, and was sort of incomplete.
I love the way Dee Henderson tells a love story, and this one isn't an exception. It just was shorter and unfinished.
If you have read the series, you will enjoy going back to read the book that starts it all. But, be forewarned, it isn't like the others.

Yeah I haven't been as much of a fan of her later work either but I actually did like this one. She wrote it shortly after The O'Malley's in response to people asking for Tom and Jen's story of how they met. It was available on her website for awhile until they decided to go ahead and publish it. And the reason it feels unfinished is because it is, their story is finished within the other O'Malley's books. And as for why she stopped writing for awhile, it was due to a neck injury that lasted for awhile.
